Privacy Policy

This policy describes how personal data is processed in GazetteAI when users research Gazette notices, legislation, and court decisions through AI-assisted workflows.

Effective date: April 13, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how GazetteAI collects, uses, and protects personal data when providing AI-assisted research across Gazette notices, legislation, and court decisions.

Our processing approach is designed to align with applicable data protection law, including Kenya's data protection framework.

2. Data We Collect

4. Lawful Bases

Where applicable, we rely on lawful bases such as contractual necessity, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and consent-dependent processing where required.

5. AI-Specific Processing Notice

Queries and uploaded text may be analyzed by AI systems to generate outputs. Automated outputs can contain inaccuracies and should be verified against source legal materials.

GazetteAI does not make solely automated legal decisions about users with binding legal effect.

We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared only where operationally necessary or legally required.

  • Infrastructure and technology service providers

Data no longer needed is deleted, anonymized, or de-identified in line with retention controls.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational controls including access restrictions, transport security, and operational monitoring.

No platform is completely risk-free; users should avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive data.
